University of Bridgeport
Innovation Center
My team thesis was completed at the Shintaro Akatsu School of Design at the University of Bridgeport. I created a strong plan to renovate a historic building on campus into an innovation center. This center will help students learn about the area's history while finding ways to improve the world.

The University of Bridgeport has several historic homes on campus that may be demolished. With many international students, there is a need to foster connections. We propose an app for the UB community to share social and educational events on campus and in Bridgeport. Using design thinking, we aim to convert one historic home into an entrepreneurial innovation center for students, faculty, and alumni. This sustainable “smart building” will enable remote control of security, lighting, temperature, and audio. The project will focus on enhancing energy and environmental efficiency, reducing water consumption, and improving natural light. This promotes sustainability and offers potential financial returns.
